Job Description

HFM CTE is seeking an innovative Auto Body teacher as a tenure-track appointment for the 24/25 school year. This appointment is from September 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025. The teacher must have a minimum of 4 years of Auto Body Experience. Teacher must be eligible to apply for the NYS Transitional A Certification in Vehicle Body Repair and Painting 7-12 including passing an appropriate background check and fingerprint clearance. A degree in teaching is not necessary to apply for this position, Auto Body industry experience is required. 

 

Appropriate candidates will be able to impact our CTE students' lives and create a classroom to industry pathway for students to attain a career in the Auto Body field. Job Qualifications

TEACH Clearance

Per Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required. Formal job offer/selection is contingent on ability to obtain a fingerprint security clearance through the TEACH system prior to working. For more information: http://www.highered.nysed.gov/tsei/ospra/.
