Are you passionate about student wellness, physical activity, and helping young people develop lifelong healthy habits? HFM BOCES is seeking a dual-certified Physical Education and Health teacher to support students enrolled in our NEW Early CTE Program while also collaborating in the delivery of Physical Education for students in our Career & Technical Education programs in Grades 11–12.

 

This position plays a vital role in supporting student success across programs by promoting physical wellness, health literacy, and social-emotional well-being—foundations that directly support students’ ability to thrive in both academic and career-focused environments.

 

The Early CTE Program seeks to blend authentic learning experiences, strong student-adult relationships, and skill development to move every student closer to their goal of becoming enrolled, employed, or enlisted after high school graduation.

 

What You’ll Teach and Do

  • Deliver NYS-aligned Physical Education and Health instruction to students in Grades 9–10

  • Collaborate with another Physical Education teacher to provide PE and/or Health instruction for CTE students in Grades 11–12

  • Design engaging, inclusive instruction that supports physical fitness, mental health, and positive lifestyle choices

  • Promote teamwork, communication, goal-setting, and respectful behavior through physical activity

  • Support the unique scheduling and instructional needs of students enrolled in CTE programs

  • Collaborate with CTE staff, administrators, and support services to ensure a cohesive student experience

  • Be part of the multidisciplinary team supporting the launch and growth of the Early CTE Program

Do you have a passion for helping others, healthcare, human services, and preparing young people for meaningful future careers? Our Introduction to Healthcare and Human Services Program at our NEW Early CTE Program is seeking an educator to provide foundational skills, new opportunities, and meaningful career exposure for students in 9th and 10th grade interested in healthcare, human services, and related helping professions.  This program introduces students to the wide range of careers focused on wellness, service, and community support—while helping them explore their interests, strengths, and future pathways.

 

The Early CTE Program seeks to blend authentic career exposure, real-world application of skills, and hands on learning to empower students as they develop both technical and professional skills; while moving each student closer to their goal of becoming enrolled, employed, or enlisted after high school graduation.  

 

What You’ll Teach and Do

  • Deliver instruction in foundational healthcare and human services concepts using hands-on, project-based learning

  • Introduce students to career pathways in healthcare, human services, and community support fields

  • Develop students’ employability skills in professionalism, communication, teamwork, and ethical behavior

  • Design instruction that emphasizes real-world skills, scenario-based learning, and applied problem-solving

  • Provide structured opportunities for career exploration and exposure to a variety of helping professions

  • Collaborate with our ELA and Special Education teachers to integrate academic skills with your content

  • Participate in program improvement, advisory committee meetings, and student leadership activities

  • Be part of the team that builds the new Early CTE Program

The Early CTE Program seeks to blend authentic career exposure, real-world application of skills, and hands on learning to empower students as they develop both technical and professional skills; while moving each student closer to their goal of becoming enrolled, employed, or enlisted after high school graduation.

Auto Body TeacherAUTOBODYTCHR2026-CTE

HFM CTE is seeking an innovative Auto Body Teacher. This tenure-track position is available immediately. The correct candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of Auto Body Experience. The applicant must be eligible to apply for the NYS Transitional A Certification in Vehicle Body Repair and Painting 7-12 including passing an appropriate background check and fingerprint clearance. A degree in teaching is not necessary to apply for this position, but auto body industry experience is required. 

 

Appropriate candidates will be able to impact our CTE students' lives and create a classroom to industry pathway for students to attain a career in the Auto Body field.
