Instructional Coach (Teacher on Special Assignment)HFM26/27 TOSA

HFM BOCES has an anticipated opening for a full-time Instructional Coach who will be responsible for working with districts in a variety of roles. The successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, classroom teaching experience, and the ability to facilitate professional development. This probationary, 10-month tenure-track position, also offers up to 30 days over the summer.

 

Expected duties:

  • Serve in the development and support the implementation of instructional plans that align to NYS standards, district goals and curricula, as well as the Portrait of a Graduate.
  • Work with teachers and administrators to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs, and identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps.
  • Provide individual and/or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learners.
  • Manage and distribute instructional resources to teachers and provide training on the use of those resources.
  • Encourage and support the implementation of technology and innovative strategies in the classroom.
  • Extensive understanding of NYS learning standards, The Science of Reading, and Numeracy.

PTECH, or Pathways in Technology Early College High School, is a 6-year program that incorporates project-based learning and professional skills training as students work toward their 2-year degree from SUNY Fulton-Montgomery or SUNY Cobleskill.

HFM CTE is seeking an innovative Auto Body Teacher. This tenure-track position is available immediately. The correct candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of Auto Body Experience. The applicant must be eligible to apply for the NYS Transitional A Certification in Vehicle Body Repair and Painting 7-12 including passing an appropriate background check and fingerprint clearance. A degree in teaching is not necessary to apply for this position, but auto body industry experience is required.
